Small wild animals data
Small wild animals were considered as an important component of the biodiversity in surveyed homegardens. Small wild animals were idenfied with the help of habitats observed within the homegarden, field guide books, photographs and the assistance from a household member. The observation survey was conducted with the assistance of subject experts from the Department of Zoology, Faculty of Science, University of Peradeniya. Giving attention to birds as a primary observation, reptiles, vertibrates, invertibrates and small mammals were recorded by secondary observations and relying on the information provided by household memebrs. Photographs of were taken for the record whenever possible.
